Community colleges are now up to send and receive electronic transcripts from other colleges. Current discussion centers on the submission of high school transcripts to community colleges, which don’t currently require transcripts for admission. The Joint Boards of Education and CCWD are considering whether the enhanced information that IDTS can provide on transcripts, especially in light of the new diploma requirements, might provide useful community colleges in the near future. At a  minimum, submitting transcripts that are required for admission to special programs may be possible in the near future.
